Thanks Ron! I'll do it that way.
It's a pretty nifty looking gasket--got little metal inserts at the bolt 
holes and tabs at the front that actually hold the curved bit in place.  
Pretty slick. I'm looking forward to getting away from the multi-piece cork.
Thanks again--I'll leave the RTV on the shelf :-) .
