Listers,
I tried a one piece rubber pan gasket on my Aviaid road race pan designed
for the old style seal on my stroker 5.0 motor and the stupid thing leaked
even after trying the silly cone stuff. I tried and tried and finally an old
style pan gasket and some RTV sealed the thing up and no leaks yet after a
couple thousand miles.
My opinion is DO NOT try the one piece seal on the old style pans. It seems
there is not enough material at the rear of the seal and it leaks from
around the oil pan saddle area.

Best Regards,
