Jim,
My oil filter is mounted to the bottom bolts of the transmission
bellhousing. The oil filter is tucked close to the oil pan (not much lower
than the oil pan itself), and basically the two lines just run from the
front of the block to the back of the block and are held in place with a
homemade bracket coming off an oil pan bolt. The filter is a 1/2 dozen
inches from the drain plug so it's quick and easy (no mess) to spin the
filter off when you pull the plug. The filter set-up looks just lik a
generic kit you would buy from a place like Summit Racing.
