Dave

The stock SU pump was held by a 1/2 inch 'C' shaped bracket
with a stud bolt on the top and a bolt nut combination on the ends of the 'C'.
Sort of like a small version of the clamps that go around the header tank. The
stud bolt goes through the center hole of the fuel pump bracket and a nut
attached.
The 'C' bracket was lined with a gasket like material
that was supposed to reduce the vibration and noise when
the pump worked. By now this gasket may have rotted away.

I have a MK IA and can't help with the top pieces.

The battery in the trunk mounts with the positive post to
the back if the car. The positive cable runs through a round
hole in the side panel and forward through the passenger
compartment to the solenoid. The cable runs along the
passenger side door sill next to the seat. A simple
cardboard piece covered the cable. You can make that out
of picture matting.

The standard Ford solenoid mounted on the firewall under
the brake booster. The mounting bolts pass through the fire
wall in the passenger foot well. Look for the holes about
half way up the foot well. These holes are another way to
spot an Alger.

Hope this helps.
