After consulting the long out of print books I have put together a list of
all the major rally events the Tiger was entered. Included is the Tiger
results and the finishing positions. Everyone can judge for themselves using
their personal measure of success or lack of success.
1964
Event: Geneva Rally Place: 11th, 15th, 20th Winner of
over 2500cc GT class
1965
Event: Monte Carlo Rally Place: 4th,11th Winner of over
2500cc GT class
Event: Tulip Rally Place: Two Tigers retired.
Event: Scottish Rally Place: One Tiger retired, one
finished and won over2500cc GT class. (no place was listed)
Event: Alpine Rally Place: Outright winner until
disqualified. Engine was torn down and valves were found to be smaller than
in homologation papers -
thus
disqualified.
Event: RAC Place: Two Tigers retired
1966
Event: Monte Carlo Rally Place: Two Tigers retired.
Event: Tulip Rally Place: 3rd, Winner of over
2500cc GT class
Event: Acropolis Rally Place: 7th, Winner over 2500cc
class, 2nd place in GT class
Out of nine major rallies entered, there are five class wins.
