This should get you reasonably close. On page 68 of the online Comp Cams
catalog, they list a grind number 252H which has an advertised duration of
252 for both the intake and exhaust, the same as posted by John yesterday.
At 0.050" this cam has duration of 206 for both the intake and the exhaust.
BTW, they also list a "Nostalgia Plus" cam - a newer version of the 289
Hipo, 271 hp cam. The hydraulic flat tappet version is 219 intake and 226
exhaust at 0.050 and the mechanical version is 225 intake and 232 exhaust at
0.050. The marketing pitch is newer tech grind with sound of original hipo
cam (LAT-20) and increased performance. Dave
