Hi Steve,
About a year ago someone was auctioning off a 30 year old piece of luggage
on UKebay that was designed to fit perfectly inside the truck of a later
model Sunbeam Alpine.
It appeared to be well made and had lots of clever features. The seller
showed it sitting in a car and it looked like there was no more than 1/2"
clearance at the sides and top.
It was so well fitted that outside the car it looked pretty odd.
