99% of all turn lights problem are caused by a bad ground.
You need to buy a simple currency checker at your local
parts or hardware.  It can look like a pointed screw
driver with an alligator clip on a wire out of the middle
or your can make one.  two wires with clips connected
to light socket.  Cost should be less than $5.

Start working back from the turn signal socket.  Connect
the clip to a known good ground and probe with the
pointed end.  Works=Good.  Connect the clip to the
metal assembly.  Doesnt work=the assembly is not grounded.
The outside mountinng screw grunds the assembly to the
fender.  Clean the screw hole and clean the threads on
the screw.  Try the test again.  The light should work.
If not there is a tech tip on TigersUnited about providing
a good gound.

If the first test fails, no current is getting to the
assembly.  Start working backwards using the tester
until you see where the break occurs and fix accordingly.
