Thanks everyone for the feedback on the switched vs.
non-switched brake lights. I had gotten so
comfortable with the Lucas idosyncracies that I didn't
recognize the risk of brake light meltdown if I
switched to the constant power side -like is currently
on my Alpine..... I hope it is still uncooked when I
get home ;-)
