Tiger'n Lesson learned for today.

 

1.      The hood to air cleaner wing nut clearance is a function of the
angular orientation of the wing nut as referenced to the air cleaner housing
ribs.
2.      If you have hood clearance with the nut wings lined up with the air
cleaner ribs you might not have clearance at other nut orientations.  This
can lead to a wing nut dent in your freshly painted black hood.
3.      If you put a wing nut dent in you freshly painted black hood you
will not miss it when you close the hood.  In fact just about anyone who
looks will see it.  This can come in handy to deflect other lines of
questioning or draw attention away from other imperfections.

 

160 miles clocked and all's well and getting better.  New tires tomorrow I
hope.  Maybe alignment too.  Much more to do.
