Seems like your screws are just a little too long. I believe they
should be a No. 10 x 7/8 inch screw.

Subject: window regulator - simple cure

I bought a window regulator on e-bay, because my passenger door window would
often hang up. But when I removed the interior panel to get to the
mechanism, it suddenly seemed to work fine. So I put it back together, and
the problem returned. Finally, I realized what caused the problem. If I
tightened down the Allen screws that attach the interior door handles too
much, the ends interfere with the window regulator! So if your window
binds, try backing off on the screws a couple of turns.
