If you need to replace  the broken lockout with a new shift lever, I 
wonder if the original one can be matched to one sold by the various 
classic Mustang retailers like California Mustang or the Connecticut 
firm Mustangs Unlimited. I know they sell shift levers, bushing kits, 
and knobs.
