Unfortunately, John, the correct Tiger temp sender straight thread is 
close to the smaller diameters of the original pipe thread, and 
re-tapping will result in cutting thru the insert.  A thread sert tool 
provides a tap for an enlarged thread, and an adapter to reduce the size 
to the sender thread.  All special tools are provided, and this is a 
neat, safe installation.
