My booster was finished by Karp's (Resleeve.com) last
Thursday. It was not sleeved, only honed and rebuilt,
at the basic charge of $305, plus tax. They said my
rubber parts had deteriorated (I'll flush my brake
fluid more frequently from now on. Promise). They
recommend DOT 3/4, no DOT 5, BTW.
It's back in the car and seems to work fine.
So perhaps I should have been brave and done it
myself, but after all the horror stories, and the
possible dire results of screwing it up I'm happy
enough with the peace of mind of having it done
professionally.
