Ron,

Good call on the brake shoe clips, they are exactly the same size. The
pins are about 1/8" longer but I had those already. BTW, I bought them
at Napa Online for $3.99 + s&h.

Thanks again,

Joe
My 91 Ford Escort uses a similar type of U clip on the rear
shoes;
can be purchased in a kit of 4 pins and 4 clips. There is probably no
reason why you can't use the spring and cup style hardware.

Doug Jennings had a supply of Honda heater control valves but he
maybe sold out by now.

Subject: Couple of Questions

Folks,

I'm in need of a couple pieces and some help on locating a part so I'm
turning to the list:

I'm looking for a pair of rear brake shoe clips for a Mk1a. They're the
u-shaped spring clips holding the shoes in place that the pins attach
to. I
have all of the other pieces but seem to be missing 2 of the clips.

Has anyone had any luck locating the Honda heater control valve that
semi-replicates the Sunbeam one? From what I've learned it was used on
75-79
Civics. Actually, I just checked with Honda and they can special order
one
for $51. I'm also checking junkyards.

Thanks,

Joe Parlanti
