Bob:
Your car, being a "B382" car, would be a Mk1A rather than a Mk1. The general
rule is that Rootes eliminated the "S U N B E A M" lettering across the nose of
the car when Mk1A production started. I know that my car, B382001600LRXFE,
doesn't have the holes either and never did.
The bottom line here is that your car never had the letters so you don't have
to worry about locating them and adding them to the car.
