On some heads the norm is to use the Chevy valves which have a longer stem,
usually means longer pushrods to keep the geometry right. Go through the comp
cam exercise will get you the info you need to properly size the pushrod.

Alan- do you have solid or hydrulic lifters? Also the guy doing
the head work should have taken care to make the valve stems the same length.
Maybe someone knows for sure if the hyd. lifter will allow for the legth. You
have some adjustmet on the roller rockers as well. Good luck, TtT
