        I'm not sure there is a source for the original side molding clips,
maybe there are sum in England.   I have been using the plastic ones for a
couple of decades now and I think I replaced 2 of them in that time frame.
I believe they were originally a VW part but not totally sure right now so
unless that part has changed I don't see a problem with them.   Let's see
what others have to say and offer.

I just got a call from the body shop and asked me if  he can remove the
clips on the car  he sais it would make the body work a lot easier  I  said
that I would get back to him so my question is What sources do we have for
the side molding clips the ones that look like pop rivets? I see that there
are ones in plastic but I saw notes that they really do not work well.
