The shop will have to flatten the 2" pipes somewhat where they pass through
the frame, but it can be done with no rattles. If they claim that they can't
do it without cutting out the frame passthroughs or that they have to pass the
pipes underneath, go somewhere else.

Head gasket symptoms are white smoke out the exhaust, and/or water in the oil,
or vice versa. The car will also run poorly.

Your noise sounds like you probably just took out the exhaust manifold flange
gasket.
