Apologies to all, I got a little excited too quickly on that adapter. Maybe it
will indeed work, but the 3/8 end looks like it takes a bubble flared
connection, not the compression connection I thought it had. But Owain's
followup e-mail about the crossover fitting being a compression fitting and
that adapters to a 3/8 inch line, if going tha t route, are available B is a
B great help at least to me! Gene B B

Hi Graham,I have no experience yet to share, but I alsoB do not seeB any
responses to you yet.For what its worthB I am looking at the same crossover
tube connection issue. In my case I am going to 3/8 inch lines. I do not know
if you are staying with 5/16. If so, maybe you could salvage the existing
fitting and use it on a new line.

If like me you are going to 3/8 inch lines, check out Holley part number on
26-70 on Summit Racing's site.It looks like this would work, connecting on the
female side to the 5/16 nipple on the crossover pipe. You could then connect a
compression nut and sleeve on the 3/8 inch line side and be sure of a good
seal.I do not know if the nipple threads and adapter threads are compatible,
since I have not tried it.B B If you do and it works, please let me know!B B
If you are staying with 5/16 lines, B this will obviously not help, but
thought it worth mentioning, just in case it might be helpful.B Cheers, Gene

Subject: [Tigers] Gas tank crossover tube fitting

Listers -

I'm in the process of replumbing the fuel line between the fuel tank
crossover tube and the fuel pump. B I have an aftermarket fuel pump that's
mounted on the trunk bulkhead in the spare tire well. B The current
configuration uses about 18 inches of the original fuel line to connect to
the gas tank crossover tube. B The line is damaged and I'd like to replace
it. B Will a standard NPT or AN fitting thread onto the crossover tube
nipple? B Any experience out there using anodized fittings to connect to the
crossover tube? B

Thanks as always,

Graham Harlowe
