This is a reply to a question on a prior post. For some reason, these keep
getting returned to me, although the private reply goes through. Reposting to
see if it works this time.

Dear Dave:

I thought I sent a reply like this to your question, but none was ever
delivered to me, and I suspect it might be floating around in some amorphous
cloud somewhere. I found the fit incredible, each seam hit directly on the
bows, the back was taught with a flat clean window, and even the gutters
turned down matching right to the vent pillar. Hardest part is definitely
getting the screws to line up through the attachment plates, the top, the
finishing rubber trim and hitting the holes. Time on task was approximately
twenty hours, but the second time this would reduce to about ten (no more
contemplation time avoiding mistakes). A standard pop-riveter will not fit
through the channels for the rubber on the front bow attachment plate, and I
used screws, grinding them down after the fact so the weather strip would
seat. As to fitment, the only errors I suffered are a couple of minor ripples
at the front bow which appear to be my fault. I started at the outsides and
there appeared to be no where for any extra material to go. Finally, getting
the top might be a problem because it seems that Robbins only sells to their
distributors, and their distributors also have reins on them. I had to get a
finish shop to buy through a distributor and then sell to me.
