Not sure if anyone will reply because this subject comes up on every car =
site all the time..., or everyone will chime in with their opinions. =
Long term I=E2=80=99d say to switch to a 302 roller cam engine or adapt =
the 260-289 to roller cam. Short term..., I=E2=80=99d say to =
investigate if the current ZDDP additives are actually beneficial. =
Unfortunately my investigation has show that there are contrary =
opinions. Mild cams and weakened valve springs might not be such a bad =
thing under the circumstances.

Subject: [Tigers] Motor OIl

Have I been using the wrong motor oil all these years? Just read =
several articles on the net stating that modern motor oils that do not =
contain enough ZDDP (zinc) and can cause damage to the cam. True or =
False?

What oil (weights and or brands) should be used in our older engines, or =
should we use an additive to increase the ZDDP?

=20

Thanks
