You know, if your driving style, suspension condition and/or tire choices a=
re such that you are worried about the condition of the lower fulcrum pins,=
then you should probably replace them and maybe consider one of the variou=
s means of reinforcing the lower control arm mounts. There are few other pi=
eces on your 55 year old car that are more critical to it continuing to go =
down the road in the direction you want.=20

Well, first let me point out that even the WORST tire today is better than =
the BEST tire when these cars were new.=20
So, yes in a way they are dangerous for the road for two reason:=20
(1) They are not as good for wet or dusty roads;=20
(2) The put strain on suspension components that the components were not de=
signed for. So that will accelerate damage. And the Tigers, with their Acke=
rmann issue are prone to breaking the bar that holds the A arms on. That=E2=
=80=99s not a good thing to happen on the road - can definitely result in =
=E2=80=9Cserious bodily injury or death.=E2=80=9D=20
