I seem to recall that carb cleaner in Zenith Stromberg carbs is a bad idea
(attacks the rubber diaphragm and other bits like that).  I've never ever
used the stuff in my TR7 for the 8 years I had it.

Yes, and if you don't have one, get a Colortune too.  THE best way to debug
fueling problems is with a Colortune.  Keep in mind that you may have gas
blended for a different season or part of the country and some of the old
stuff could be causing trouble too.  Give it another tank or two.

Again, give it a bit (and another tank or two of new gas) to see what happens.
