John,
I just bought a used alternator in Carlisle for $10. Even though they
were "saying" it is okay I can't tell until I install it, but for that
price it's worth it!
It is a #16 as used in later Spridgets.
Yes, the #17 is used in Spitfires. I can't tell you what the #18
does, but I just wanted to see if I can get your attention a bit towards
the used alternatives.
