Not to rain further on your TR7 parade, but I thought you'd be
interested in the following quote by Richard Newton from "The
Illustrated Triumph Buyer's Guide", 2nd. edition:
"Even better advice is to avoid any TR7 with an AGC prefix on the
serial number. All these cars were built at the infamous Speke plant
near Liverpool, and suffered from an array of ailments that would fill
this entire book. Leyland closed the Speke plant, but not before it had
destroyed what little remained of Triumph's reputation."
