| I asked a shop that does powder coating about doing some MGB steel wheels. The owner wouldn't do them, as he said the powder has a hard time getting into the narrow seams where parts of the steel wheel are welded together. The result is a wheel that rusts from the seam. The owner suggested an epoxy primer and a good coat of paint after chemically cleaning the rust and old paint off the wheels. Sean Johnson '79 MGB '75 Spitfire |
