If it is a Bond Equipe 2LT then it IS based on a Vitesse Chassis with the front
cross member/Valance support cut down at the ends.

The drive shaft(I assume you mean what we call the prop shaft) will be too
short for the Bond, as the GT6 chassis is several inches shorter than the
Vitesse chassis, what you need is a Vitesse O/D shaft.

(** I just looked at the John Kipping Catalogue an it says it is approx 8 inches
too short**) 

A herald shaft is 50 inches and a Non O/D Vitesse is 47 inches, an O/D shaft
should be 43.5 inches, so you could possibly get a Non O/D Shaft and have it 
cut down to size.
