 Getting to the trunions is not a big deal. Hubs, aka rotors, doen not 
necessarily have to be removed.
 The single bolt through the trunion goes through thje lower control arm.
 It is a good idea howver, to go ahead and remove the rotor. It's a good 
excuse to repack the wheel bearings.
 I found that general purpose waterproof Lithium grease (not the white goop)
is pretty good here.
 This is also a good time to remove the center plug in the steering rack 
and put in a standard 3/8 inch, fine thread grease zerk and shoot a 
little lube into the steering rack. Replace the zerk with the plug if 
desired.
 If the rack is pretty dry, loosen the rubber boots to let air escape so 
they don't pop with pressure from the grease.
 Trunions are not hard, just mildly frustrating.
