Something is definitely slowing up our messages.  I just assumed it was only
happening to me as a selective punishment because someone found out I'd owned
as many BMC cars as TR's.....  ;-)

Anyway, no offense or redundancy intended in my reply -- which just got
posted despite my having sent it days ago...

BTW -- my TR-6 had a RUBBER hose just like the earlier ones -- not plastic.
 I bought it new December 12, 1970 off a fresh shipment received that week;
it was designated a '71.
