A quick summary of replies to the SU trivia questions SU - short for Skinner's Union, the Skinners being brothers George (who obtained a patent for a constant depression carburetter in 1905), Carl and John. H - horizontal HS- horizontal short body HD - ? HIF - horizontal integral float-chamber sizes 2,4,6,8 - throttle diameter in eighths of an inch plus one inch (anybody have a story about the origins of this rather arcane system?). Scott |
