I just went through something simular.  Mine started to act up at about 45-50 
sometimes but not always smoothing out by about 60.  turned out that the DPO had
over torqued all six of the stud on the drivers side and two on the passanger 
side and stripped them.   Helicoils in place now seem to be ok.
