Bet this was made prior to '71.5 if so, the springs are a different
length, the guys in Europe seem to understand this, TRF is the only
one in the U.S. that would care and they seem inclined to sell you
the later brackets... instead of admitting error in the catalog.

Your choices (in my book):

1. remove springs, return them, install Nylatron bushings instead,
this will likely bring the rear up to height, use the spacers if
    this isn't the case

2. find an owner of a 75-76 TR6 with sagging rear end, put the
new longer HD springs on it and use its pre-sagged springs
on the early car. For some reason, bumper weight?, the late
    6's seem to sag more.

3. order the correct pieces from Europe (ever tried to return items?
ordering from Europe gets old fast) TriumphTune seems to understand
    the spring problem.

I like the Nylatron bushings with Apple HD levers and stock springs.
Makes for a great handling street car, leave the HD springs for the
race track and those areas with no pot-holes.
