Tom,

If you check the Bentley or Haynes manuals on cat-to-mop conversions, I
think you will find that the Great Engineer provided two holes specifically
for the purpose of inserting mop handles, except for those cats made during
the work stoppage at Speke, which I hear had three mop mounting holes but
were only released to the European market, because of the new US emissions
laws.

I've never carried out one of these conversions; I hear they are quite
straightforward except for a bit of yowling.
