Brent;
I had my '76 TR6 emissions tested last year and passed easily. At that time,
I know the spark plugs were shot, the carbs were running rich and I can be
sure that the anti-smog system is not up to snuff because it hasn't been
touched since new. I had been eager to yank the air pump and all related
nuisances off the car, but as I learn more about the system, I believe I'll
just restore it to factory specs. The emissions tests are mandatory only for
a small % of the entire state. We do it by counties. I know for sure that
Hamilton(Cincinnati), Cuyahoga(Cleveland), and Clark,Green and
Montgomery(Dayton metro) counties are subject. Of course,Franklin(Columbus),
is where the lawmakers hang out and they don't want to have to fool with
e-checks, so the 900,000 vehicles there are not subject. The point of all
this rambling is that I'm not sure about Lucas county(Toledo).
But, I will check into it and get back to you.
