If the OD unit has about a 2 inch diameter brass drain plug on the bottom,
it is the A-type overdrive.

I have a Laycock overdrive and am not sure exactly what type it is. I
think that it is an A-type. I have several of the longer layshafts to
replace the shorter shaft in my non-OD GT6 tranny. I plan to eventually
convert this tranny over with the OD unit. Does anyone know of a
definitive way to tell which type of unit I have...perhaps by part
number?
