After I did what I thought was a good analysis, it turns out that Chris
Prugh's compressor motor is three phase after all! Oh, well, that'll teach
you to listen to anything I have to say (I still think the white wire is
colored incorrectly, though!).
My sincerest apologizes to Chris and to anyone else who read my post.
