Semi-Trailing Arms

Hello Listers - 

I'm at the point in my TR-4A restoration where I'm working on the
semi-trailing arms.  I'm trying to figure out if they should be painted
black, silver, or just leave them unpainted.  They seem to have been
painted black originally, but I'm not sure.  

Can anyone verify what is correct?
