Keg of Homebrew, huh? Wish I'd thought of that. All the LBC'ers I know
(mostly M*B drivers)
would only kibbitz over the corpse of my '75 if I gave em bourbon! and then
they jiggled a coupla
wires and started playing in my tool box. One suggestion-buy a standard
(no-not Standard Triumph-you want one that will actually
work) voltage tester and start tracing wiring. There was a simple color code
on the digest last week(?) Which detailed what the
colors OUGHT to be. You don't say if the thing actually turns over or
nought. Could be electrical, or could be fuel related.
For a minor consulting fee, I will forward you Dr. "electrics is all" Dan
Masters e-mail address-that is if he hasnt already
contacted you with a lengthy discourse on photons, neutrons, klingons, etc.
He lurks on the List, too, but lives in East Tennessee, which is a week or
so behind normal 'Merican time zones. Fixed my own problem, BTW, when I
swapped three red(!) wires
on the starter solenoid and it cranked. Still have to rewire the fuse box
with non corroded connectors to make all lights aft of the headlights work
most of the time, instead of oh, some of the time.
Driving around in daylight in Left Tennessee (Elvis IS Dead, y'all, get over
it) rick stieg 75 Spitfire
