TR-6 High Comp Head info wanted

                I am in need of High Comression knowledge for a TR-6 head. I've 
heard
that over a 9:1 comp. head is not adviseable for the road. Or you pay
the costs of high octaine gas for prevention of bad pinging. Is this
info true, and is there any more info that (guy wanting to boost overall
bhp. on a daily driver that autocrosses daily) I should know.
