Greetings, Listers.

I've been to see the dead 2.5S which could be a donor for my '72 2.5PI
Saloon. Can anyone help with info on the suitability/interchangeability of
the following......

1. Rear axle, Suspension. I know the ride height differs but are the diff,
crossmember, trailing arms and driveshafts the same?

2. Front suspension, Steering. The car has power steering which I fancy
using. Is fitting this a matter of using the PAS crossmember and if so, how
does one solve the ride height difference.

3. Carburettors. In understand the carb. car has engine mounting holes set
1/2" to the left so the engine mounting member has to be swapped over. But,
will the S inlet manifold fit the PI head? What power output can I expect
with the PI cam?

The good news is that the car is 99% complete and has a recoverable set of
alloys-useful, given that wide, full profile 13" tyres are like hen's teeth
in the UK. On the other hand, I've never seen such a rotten bodyshell, even
the roof is holed.

All answers, opinions and advice gratefully received,
Thanks,
Dave Hill
