NO!!!  Don't use lubricating oil of any kind! It will cause the rubber
parts in the hydraulic system to deteriorate rapidly.

The correct fluid is brake fluid.  To keep the "Your British Rubber Parts
Will Rot If You Use DOT3" believers happy, use Castrol GT/LMA brake fluid. 
It's available from all BritCar specialists (TRF, Moss, BritVic, etc) and
from most large auto parts stores.  Otherwise just use standard DOT3 brake
fluid, available everywhere.
