As some of you may recall I recently purchased a non running TR6. It was
supposed to be supplied with some removed parts, but the vendor is not
coming through as promised. I priced the car on the assumption that these
parts would never appear so this is no great surprise, but a pain and
unwanted expense. I will not let this prevent the '6 being a fun project, I
know I should sue the !sshole but I have better things to do with my time.

I'm still a little vague on what I need but these are a few definite
requirements:

Cylinder head (early type or anything that'll work, rebuild needed OK)
rocker shaft assembly and rockers
inlet manifold
carbs (Zenith CD175s or SU HS6 ? )
throttle linkages ( I have the pedal and the rod that runs behind the block)
thermostat housing
valve cover

If any listers have some any of these I'd be interested in buying them.
Anything is better than what I've got now so as long as it's rebuildable
I'm interested !

I may take this opportunity to uprate the carbs / head. I have heard that
2x SU HS6 can be a good idea. Anyone run like this ? I have seen an adapter
plate that uses the existing inlet manifold. Seems a cheaper route than the
Webers or 3x CD175 I have seen, although probably not as ideal.

I spoke with a Hemmings advertiser called British Motor Cars in KY. They
have all these parts (from a TR250, but I think these should work). I could
not find any reference in the moster list - has anyone done business with
these guys ? I'd appreciate any experiences before I send a check, as they
don't take plastic.

Thanks

Neil
