I would like to beg some advice about replacing the water pump on my 1976 TR6.
In preparing to remove the pump for a rebuild, I am concerned about the
fitting to the manifold water jacket. This fitting is appears to be composed
of a fitting into a bushing into the water pump. Should I hold the rear
fitting and remove the bushing or will the rear fitting remove from the
bushing. I do not want to do any damage to the fittings that would be
difficult to repair. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know that
this is probably a simple matter to many of you, but as a novice at this I am
reluctant to make a mistake that would be even more burdensome to correct.
