No British car talk here, sorry, but just a general "net etiquette" comment
here.  A couple of recent posts made me think.  Now I'm not pointing any
fingers, but maybe, before someone *publicly* posts a reply/flame, they
should reply directly to the person first.  It is difficult for us staring
at our computer screens, with no body posture or facial expressions to go
by, to determine if someone is poking fun or not.  And as we all know what
one person thinks is funny may not be interpreted as such by someone else.
To possibly clear things up before hand, and much more importantly, prevent
hurt feelings and damaged egos (been there done that, I'm sure we have all
been at one end or the other here) It may help to contact the person in
question and find out exactly what they meant - That way things could be
cleared up before hand, and quit possibly a new friend may be discovered! 

O.K back to British car stuff :-)
