Sent Dad on a trip to wreckers today- he found a straight, rust-free frame
for his Olds & bought it.
And, for $10, I got some good weatherstripping for my TR4. Donor Car:
2-door Chevette. It's a bit thinner than the TR6 stuff I had before, but
it's not split (and not cloth-covered) and it fits on real nice. Only
drawback are 2 tight bends-- but that's OK because the stuff is about 4
feet longer than it needs to be. I think I can cut the bends out.
Once I get on the road I will be able to report on its weather-proofness.
Seems to touch the door & window all around though. Also fits under the
chrome capping on the windscreen end o' things.
