I have an equation that may answer the question :
Limited Observation X Limited Intellect = Unreliable Speculation over
Unknown "Fact"
Whereas the originator of the product (the friend of the lister) may have
noticed that
TR 7's came with a five speed. Having limited intellect, he may have reasoned
they fit
Spitfire engines. The end product is a misinformed speculation over an assumed
knowledge,
which is usually a one-to-one fraction (i.e. one in the same).
OTOH, he (the originator of this rumor) may have simply added four speeds
plus one over-
drive, and got five speeds.
