TR6 Front end question

When you are putting on the fron hubs, bearings, etc. The manual says to go
to 5 ft lbs then back off and then gives a measurement that you are
supposed to set the front bearing end end float tolerance to, but where do
you measure that. I assume that you use a feeler gauge to set it somewhere.
