I find myself in the market for a used rectangular-flange Spitfire /
Herald differential :{

I don't want to spend a fortune on this! Getting a rebuilt unit from a
reputable source is out of the question - I would have to eat the core
charge, since mine is definitely NOT rebuildable.

A private deal for a "good" unit also seems like a bad idea. My
intention is to rebuild anyway.

What I'm looking for is a castoff, that's been sitting in the corner of
somebody's garage for 10 years. A whiner or a leaker, that you swapped
out meaning to rebuild someday, but never got around to it.

I'm in New Jersey, 5 miles from the GW Bridge. Easy driving distance
would be a big plus, considering the weight and how expensive and
difficult that makes it to ship. BUT

What I'm REALLY looking for is just the internal gear carrier. It's much
ea$ier to ship, and it takes about 1/2 hour to remove starting from a
sealed unit. Just did it myself this weekend.

Please reply privately if you might be able to help.
