Don't know why I find myself apologising for my employer - but you
have to remember this place is a MUSEUM - ergo, it has yet to catch
up with current technology - (as do some of the people currently
working in it in positions of authority!)
IMHO, why on earth BMIHT contracted some webmaster in Stratford to
design their site and then allow HMC to be buried in among the fish
and chip shops and tourist fleshpots of that noble (?) town defies
belief. The place is still not e-mailable and when I take in requests
from people such as those found on this list (which I stress I'm
HAPPY to do) all I get is some jerk telling me to tell you to write
in.
Humour them gentlemen. They're British, they've got a FAX, they know
best, technology and ease of world access is not for them - sadly.
Perhaps this goes some way to explaining why we no longer have an
indigenous motor industry of our own.
